Large website
The development process summarized below suggests that page deployment, which constitutes a website, is at the very last stage. Consider the effect that each step of the process will have on the development of the PM checklist.
Think before you act. Get the organized support, budget, and staff resources you need to successfully lead your project.
1. Defining and Planning Sites
Site development tasks begin by defining the purpose and objectives of the site, and by collecting and analyzing the information required to build the budget and resources. This step determines the scope of site content, the interactive features and technical support required, and overrides the information, width, and depth to meet your expectations. If you leave the development of a website external, this is where you choose a site design
< Construction checklist for the site >
Now not all sites need to consider the details of the list to be mentioned. If you had chosen to build a web team inside the company, you would have substantial technical support from within. But if you're an individual or a small business, you need to sign a deal with a variety of technology and design firms, and you need to collect everything they need to be able to create content sites or small e-commerce sites in a way that they can.
Production
· Is the site production team composed of internal resources or is it being handed over to an outsourcing company? Or would you combine the two forms?
· Who will manage the development process?
· Who is the main content expert?
Who is responsible for negotiating with outsourcing company?
· Who will be the web master or the site editor and join them in the long run?
skill
· Which operating system and browsers does the site support?
- Windows, Mac, Linux, and more
- FireFox, Internet Explorer, Safari, opera, chromium, etc.
· What is the average user of the site set as the network speed?
- Internal users, most external users
- Ethernet, In-House, and In-House broadband
- A home's most popular broadband, such as ISDN or DSL.
- MODEM networks for low-intensity users
· Will it have dynamic HTML and advanced features?
- JavaScript
- third-party browser plug-in
- Linux, UNIX, or Microsoft ILS server environment
- Security and confidentiality features
· How do we organize communication between users and support?
- E-mail reception
- chat rooms, forums, consultations, or calls
· Do I need support for database?
- whether or not a user login is required to connect to the site
- Survey function
- Search and repair features
· Will the contents of the audiovideo be included?
- Videoardientics
Web server
· Will the web server self-deploy? Are you going to web host your ISP?
- Maximum disk space, maximum site traffic, and additional costs
- Proper server capacity to accommodate site traffic
- Support for 24 hour366 days, maintained
- User and site traffic statistics
- Server log analysis : internal or external
- Search engines for content
- whether or not common gate-interfaced interface (CGI), programming, and database middleware support
- Support for in-house technical management databases
Budgeting
· How much is the manpower operating budget?
- short-term development personnel
- Long-Term EditorSupport and Support Staff (Web Editor, Web-Master)
- Continuous server / technical support personnel
- Database retention and support personnel
- New content development and updating workforce
· What hardware and software do in-house development teams need?
How much is employee training?
- Site design and development
- Technology consulting
- Database development
- Site marketing
2. Information design
Steps to refine content and website structure. In this stage, you will list all existing content, organize additional required content, and define the overall structure of the site.
Once content structures are drawn approximately, a prototype of each part must be created.
Site prototypes are valuable in two ways, first of all, they are the best way to test site navigation and develop a user interface.
Second, prototyping enables graphic designers to develop an appropriate relationship between how the site is viewed and how the navigation interface supports information design.
The key to a good prototype is to be flexible in its early stages. You don't have to go into details from the beginning.
The tasks and contracts to be performed during the information design phase are as follows :
· Detailed site design statement
· Specific site content description
- Site map, thumbnail, overview, table of contents
· Prototype with user-tested wireframe and site designs
· Graphic design and interface design sketches
· Detailed technical specifications
- Browser
- Connection speed
- Web servers and server resources
· Programming and technical development proposals to support the special features of the site
• Schedules of site design and deployment.
3. WebSite design
Create a block and fence on the site, creating a page grid, a page design, and an overall graphic. As long as you are creating illustrations, pictures, graphics, sounds, and image content, the research, creation, conception, combination, and editing of the text materials are all performed at this stage.
At this point, programming, database design, data entry, and search engine design should be progressing to some extent simultaneously. The goal of this step is to complete the creation of all components and programming in the content.
Content Component and structure and accessories
· Final text materials calibrated and edited
· Graphic design specification for all page types
- Final Interface Graphics for Page Template
- Graphics, logos, buttons and background graphics to be placed at the top and bottom of the page
· Final sample of detail page layout or main page
- Graphic standard manual for large sites
· Interface design and master page grid template
- Final html template page
An illustration
· Photography
Functional / logical components (programmed)
· Design JavaScript and Java applet
· Completed database table and programming, and final interface prototypes
· Designed and tested search engine
4. WebSite deployment
When development is complete, all of the site's webpages are developed and content populated. A detailed site design and a well-polished content, a wireframe and prototype has been validated, and a page design statement has been prepared, before you begin creating the site. This avoids the inevitable waste of power in preventing content confusion, minimizing redundant development efforts, and accelerating development. As the prototype takes shape on the final website, it will slowly uncover new things that you didn't know about the entire design. At this point, both internal team members and users should go directly to the website being developed and prepare to increase the completeness of the design by identifying shortcomings and improvements in navigation and content.
Once the page is complete and the database and programming operations are complete, the site is built, and user testing needs to be performed. Testing is done outside of the site development team by someone who finds the program's errors and typos, and evaluate the overall design and effectiveness of the site.
After the site test is finished and modifications are complete, you must publicly publish the site address.
At this stage, you should :
· Complete HTML
· Complete navigation link structure
· Link to page and program completion, ready for user test
· Complete all database operations, link page
· Positioning all graphic design, illustration, and photo materials
· Final calibration on all content
· Test databases and programming details
· Test and verify database search function
· Testing site user support procedures and email
· Archive site content, HTML, programming, and other development materials
5. WebSite Marketing
Websites are important tools for a company's marketing and communication channel.
The URL of a website should be exposed by default to all corporate generated documents and advertisements.
If the developed website is primarily aimed at local residents or businesses, you should register the site with the search engine and expose the URL to local residents or businesses who frequently visit it. Local libraries, media, schools, etc. can be a good place to let local people know about new websites.
Site ads can be exchanged with each other in partnership with suppliers, expert groups, broadcasting, local information centers, real estate, Internet service providers and local telephone number information sites. Other options include giving away local nonprofit organizations charity events or school events to websites. Websites that are designed to promote popular local events to the area. This type of site sponsorship may draw the attention of local stations and is an article in their entirety.
The home page url should be exposed to wherever you list :
· Printed advertising
• Radio, television ads
· Receipt, statement
· Product literature, packaging
· Customer response card, product warranty
· Published, courtesy
· Press release
· Posters, bulletin board
6. Tracking, assess and maintain
Software provided by the Web server provides ample information on site visitors. Even the simplest site logs can track the number of site visitors, page views, and other information during a given time period. The number obtained from the server log of a website is the criteria against which a site is judged to be successful. Bogue analysis can identify which pages are popular, which version of a web browser a site visitor is using, as well as general information about the visitor and their place of residence.
Various software provides access information for the site. If your Internet service provider or website company is unable to provide you with good site access rate analysis information, you must request that you have a direct account to access the server log.
A public disclosure of the site does not end the operation. The aesthetic and functional aspects of larger websites require ongoing attention and care. Coordinate and review new content and keep graphic and editing styles consistent. Check that the links on all pages are functioning properly.
Site editors should ensure that their websites are backed up regularly on secure storage media. The backup interval should not exceed 24 hours.
Don't neglect the issue of preserving your digital work, while taking business documents for granted.
